winters.... how do i start? Being brought up in Hyderabad,Vijayawada I never realized there exists such a season, only that i heard the name from books, teachers and saw great snaps from fabulous locations!! Landing up in Pilani 2 years back in the boiling heat, made me long for "the winter"... heard a lot of it from seniors and acquaintances before coming here... "the temperature goes below zero", "its awesome... you can watch the water turn to ice"... the expressions really captured my imagination, i got excited about 'em and it wasn't long(3 and a half months only) before fiiiiiinally seasons changed and........?????????

It wasn't quite what i expected... actually it was all of what i hadn't expected! I realized subzero temperatures meant layers and layers of clothing(which i absolutley hate) and still shivering cause they're not enough!No heaters in rooms... solar water heaters and no sun meant cold water baths(no baths for most people for weeks!... but i can't stand being untidy so had to take bath!) and the lsit goes on... cold creams(which i absolutely hate and couldn't avoid) etc etc... I absolutely hated winters! All it took was 1 of 'em!

So what changed?Well a lot actually... only that the change is within me :).I now have wonder in my eyes and my heart and love to embrace anyone and anything!Well how?? Knowledge... of acceptance, and what peace it brings!Accept and that minute the complaining, sulking mind suddenly comes to peace!(also finds solutions if required...)I accept the cold,the fog, the cold water,... everything! And a second later I'm amazed by the beauty of the place,the weather, and the moment!!Wonder dawns in my eyes and my heart and I'm totally surprised... just a few moments back it all seemed a pain!

And then I remember one of the most beautiful quotes by Guruji
" When you follow fun, misery follows you. When you follow knowledge, fun follows you!".I'm grateful to have this among other knowledge in my life :).(not that i have much :) )

Anyways make sure you are present this June to witness one of the biggest spiritual congregation of the century with 10,000 YES!+ participants turning up for the SUMMER MAGIC!! The winter break as it turns out was just a trailer for something HUGE!!!!!!!!

THE ADVANCE COURSE!!!

Hey guys!! the time all of us are waiting for has finally come... the registrations for the December YES!+ winter break(also known as the advance course) @ the Bangalore AOL ashram(the paradise on Earth) have opened and are very soon about to close as well!!! All over the world people are throbbing to get registered!! Here go the details:

Reporting on 26th December anytime before 11:00 pm
Dec 27th 2009 - Jan 1st 2010 : The Advance Course (YES!++) with none other than BAWA & DINESH
Jan 2nd & 3rd : All India youth festival, JOSH-2010.

The registrations are fast closing down and if you delay you might have to hear 'SORRY SEATS FILLED' for an answer!Here are the list of people who have already done at least one advance course(many have numbers reaching up to even 3 !)... feel free to talk to any of them if you've got any queries! :)

p.s. We might even have to come back together directly from Bangalore itself (last time there were 14 of us and we did the same) cause the registration is on 6th in Pilani. So make it as fast as possible!

Pavan turns 19...

Well, well...It was Pavan's birthday yesterday and one awesome celebration! Pavan's birthday... Sid's revenge a lot of things in one night :).On a serious and personal note though,I was really happy for him and wished him some of the best for life.We've really gelled over the past year...he's a good friend. And since it was his birthday lets not pull his leg for a change.Lets give him some goody goody stuff for him to cherish ;)!

There are quite a lot of traits i would love to imbibe from him... like he's sure of his priorities,very considerate,caring and loving with his parents,dedicated and I've seen him blossom real well!! We've got some great snaps from last night!
